Question:

Hello, Im looking at purchasing this controller for my 2022 Ford Bronco. I like this one because it has a 7-way connector. My question is, do I have to also add the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller for Tekonsha Harness? I wont be towing anything with electronic brakes, so I dont believe I would need this. Thanks

It sounds like you want to install the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter # TK55VR on your 2022 Ford Bronco. This will add a 7-way wiring connection and also includes a wiring harness to install a brake controller should you need one. If you think you might tow a trailer with a 4-way, I also recommend grabbing the Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter # PK12716.

If you aren't towing a trailer with brakes, there is no need to add a brake controller. The Tekonsha harness comes with the wiring adapter, but it is not required to use it. Should you decide to add the # RED44FR in the future then yes, the Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter # 331-TPH-017 would allow you to use the Tekonsha wiring for a plug and play installation.
