What Equipment is Needed to Tow 2004 Chevy Blazer 4X4 Behind a Motorhome

I was told there is no equipment available to hook up my blazer to my moterhome. Is that true?? Equipment needed to flat tow my 04 blazer 4x4 ZR2 behind my motorhome

The most important guideline is what Chevy says about flat towing. Please check your owners manual for their procedures for flat towing. Our information from Remco states that if your Blazer has a manual transfer case it can indeed be flat towed but if your vehicle has an electronic transfer case, a driveshaft disconnect coupling will need to be installed before flat towing this vehicle. Please check with your owners manual to verify this information.
In order to tow your 2004 Chevy Blazer behind your motorhome you will need five separate items which we can supply.
Tow Bar
Base Plate Kit
Safety Cable Set
Tow Bar Wiring
Supplemental Braking System
For the base plate kit on your 2004 Chevy Blazer I recommend the Roadmaster XL # 179-2. The nice feature of this set is that the drawbars are removable so when you are not towing they are not sticking out of the front of your vehicle.
My research shows that your vehicle weighs approximately 4,164 lbs so the 6,000 lb Roadmaster Tow Bar # RM-020 that you referenced would be a good fit. This tow bar is designed to fit the aforementioned XL base plates recommended for your vehicle.
The safety cable I recommend is the Roadmaster # RM-643. These cables are vinyl coated steel, 68 inches long and rated at 6,000 lb weight capacity.
If you will be flat towing your vehicle more often than not I recommend the Roadmaster # RM-154 for your taillight wiring. You will be able to leave this in your vehicle when it is not being towed and just plug it when when needed.
If you will not be flat towing this vehicle a lot then I recommend the Roadmaster # RM-2120. this is a set of magnetic tow lights that are easy to install and remove for occasional use and are DOT compliant.
Finally, almost every state and most of Canada requires a supplemental braking system such as the Roadmaster # RM-9400. The # RM-9400 which is proportional and equal amounts of braking pressure is applied to your Blazer as you brake your motorhome.
