Question:

While waiting for this part to arrive, I removed the fitting to the gray water tank secured by the hose clamp. My question is, what is the compound ,looks like pipe thread sealant, on this fitting? See attached picture.

Unfortunately just looking at a picture isn't going to be enough for me to identify what the manufacturer used to glue the 3" pipe reducer # T1041-1 to the other fitting, however I can tell you that you should use some ABS # A05-0303 when you're ready to hook up your new pipe reducer.
