Helpful Expert Reply:
You can use electric brakes with a Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System rated for 2,000 lbs, however, you would need the Heavy-Duty system, part # ASR2KHDS01. The Timbren Axle-Less suspension system, # A20RS545, that you referenced is not compatible with trailer brakes because it does not have a brake mounting flange at the base of the spindle.
The Timbren Heavy-Duty system, comes with a brake mounting flange with a 4 on 4 bolt pattern which fits most 10 inch brake assemblies. The brake assemblies I recommend are the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust 10 Inch Brake Assemblies, # 23-468 and # 23-469. This system does not include hubs, so you will want to pick up 2 of the etrailer Hub and Drum Assembly, # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K. This hub and drum assembly has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern and includes the inner and outer bearings, grease seal, grease cap and lug nuts. It also fits the EZ Lube spindles that come with the Timbren system.
