Can The Curt RockerBall Be Used With Convert-A-Ball Shock Absorbing Ball Mount?

Question:
Hi, in answer 496410 Jason mentions that the Convertaball dual cushioned hitch CAN be used with a Rockerball. But elsewhere several other answers say that the Rockerball should not be used with Convertaball hitches. Is this compatibility between the convertaball dual cushioned and rockerball only on the dual cushionedinch model? My other options are to use a maxtoww with a rockerball OR the convertaball dual cushioned with a regular non shock absorbing ball. Of those three scenarious which will provide the greatest shock absorption?

I personally spoke to Curt who informed me their Curt RockerBall Shock Absorbing 2" Hitch Ball # C40047 should not be used with the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mounts including # CAB-UM. For the best experience I recommend using a ball mount with the correct amount of drop with the RockerBall and a anti-rattle. This will eliminate the play between the ball mount and your receiver allowing the RockerBall to absorb the trailer shock. We have a couple kits which have all the parts listed below otherwise if you can tell me exactly how much drop or rise you need I can help you find the exact parts you need.
Curt RockerBall Anti-Rattle Towing Kit - 2" Ball - 3" Drop, 2" Rise # C63KR
Curt RockerBall Anti-Rattle Towing Kit - 2" Ball - 5" Drop, 4" Rise # C43KR
