Recommended Hitch for a 2021 Audi Q3 S-Line

I have a 2021 Q3 S-line. It does not have the hands free lift gate feature. Will this hitch work on my s-line Q3?

I have a great hitch for you but the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # DT68MR will not fit the 2021 Audi Q3 S-Line's regardless of whether or not they have the hands free lift gate feature.

Instead you will want one of the Stealth Hitches and depending on what you are using the hitch for will determine which one you need. One is for only using accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers and the other can be used for accessories but also includes a ball mount and wiring kit for towing. I have listed both options below.

Towing - Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit item # 391AUDQ319T

I really like both of these hitches because the crossbar is completely hidden behind you rear bumper. When you are not towing or using an accessory you can remove the 2" x 2" receiver or ball mount and not see any part of the hitch.

I'm interested in this hitch receiver for my 2024 Audi Q3 (S Line). It already comes with a 1.25" hitch receiver from factory so the rear diffuser already has the opening to accommodate for a hitch (I'm just looking to upgrade to a 2"). My question is, what is it specifically about the S Line trim that makes this hitch incompatible? Thanks!

@NickL According to Draw-Tite, it is because the sensors interfere with the install at the frame location.

I have a 2020 Q3 S-line. Does the draw tite hitch also not fit my year s-line? Which hitch do I need? I will be towing a small trailer. Need a 2 inch receiver.

@Luke Yes, it does Luke! The Draw-Tite Hitch item # DT68MR will indeed fit the 2020 Audi Q3 S-line. Please note that this hitch is going to disable your lift gate feature. If you want to retain this function it'll be better to go with the Stealth Hitches item # 391AUDQ319T, which also comes with the necessary wiring and ball mount you'll need. If you do go with the Draw-Tite item # DT68MR you will also need a wiring harness item # 119250KIT and a ball mount kit item # C45534 to tow a trailer. What kind of trailer are you towing?

@JerredH Thanks for the quick reply. I would like to retain my power lift gate feature. I am worried that the stealth hitch doesn't offer interchangeable shanks for towing. If I need a drop or lift to level out the trailer. Seems like I won't have the ability to just purchase a 2x2 shank with the drop or lift I need. My plan is to tow my boat, it's just under 2,000 lbs loaded with fuel and all of our gear. I also tow a small 4'x8' enclosed uhaul when we go camping. We do extended trips and the Q3 just doesn't have the trunk space as our family has grown.

@Luke You're welcome! If you're dead set on the Draw-Tite item # DT68MR, I recommend reaching out to an Audi service center and seeing if they have options for relocating those sensors.
