Question:

2002 Wrangler has brackets attached to the bumper that are 34 inch apart. Will the acclaim extend that distance?

The Blue Ox Acclaim Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX4330 is compatible with Blue Ox base plates that are between 23" and 30" apart on center. Since you're measuring 34" on center I recommend checking out the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates # e47ZR since it doesn't have that width limitation and it's a much nicer tow bar.

For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
