I just purchased a new 2022 Toyota Highlander. I would like to purchase a trailer hitch for it, but I am confused on which one I would need because you have so many options. Which one should I purchase? I would also like to know the towing capacities of the hitch that you recommend. .

Firstly congratulations on the purchase of your new 2022 Toyota Highlander!
When it comes to installing a trailer hitch onto your 2022 Toyota Highlander we do have a few different options to choose from and I will help you choose the correct one.
All the hitches that are confirmed for your vehicle are very similar but, I recommend The etrailer Hitch # e75ZR out of the hitches available. I chose the etrailer hitch over the Curt hitch and the Draw-Tite hitch because it has an extra coating of rust resistant paint over the base of the hitch that will help it survive the elements a lot longer and won't rust as quick as the other hitches I mentioned. The etrailer hitch has a bolt-on installation and has a maximum gross trailer towing weight of 5,000 pounds and has a maximum tongue weight of 500 pounds. After doing some research it shows that your 2022 Toyota Highlander has a towing capacity up to 5,000 pounds, but I still recommend checking your vehicle's manual to make sure what the maximum towing capacity is.
To continue your towing journey there is a couple more parts that are needed. Firstly you will need The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK99FR. This harness will provide you with a 4 flat connector and make it to where your trailer's stop, turn, and taillights will mirror your vehicle's stop, turn, and taillights. Lastly The Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2 inch Hitches # C45554 will include an 8-1/4 inch long, powder coated ball mount with a pre-torqued hitch ball; hitch pin and clip; hitch receiver lock with keys; hitch cover; and a storage case.
