Question:

I am considering both the Etrailer e43ZR and the Ecohitch 306-X7395 for my 2022 Tiguan SEL R Line. Is there any information about how far the receiver protrudes? Or the length of each receiver? I would definitely buy the Etrailer version because of ease of install, but the posted photos look like the Ecohitch is much cleaner looking and flush under the car, making me lean that way. Unfortunately the photos are also on different generations of the car, so its apples to oranges.

Just based on install picture I can tell that the EcoHitch part # 306-X7395 is going to sit more flush with the bumper of your 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan than the etrailer # e43ZR although I can't get you exact dimensions as we haven't had a chance to take that measurement yet.

Another really great option is the other EcoHitch part # 306-X7393 which has a lower hitch opening that is removable so when you aren't towing you could remove it completely and it would appear that you don't have a hitch installed at all.
