Hi, does this hitch require any cutting or removal of the splash guardinch skirting inside/below bumper on a 2022 Tiguan SE R-line Black edition? Please see the attached photos. Thanks

Thanks for the pictures! The EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 306-X7393 does not require any cutting or removal of splash guards or trim. The hitch receiver sticks out through that opening below the bumper cover on your second picture above the arrow. This hitch is custom fit to your 2022 Tiguan SE R-line Black edition and bolts in behind your bumper with included hardware. I have linked an installation video below of a different hitch item # SH49ZR being installed on a Tiguan to better demonstrate what I am describing.

If you need a wiring harness to control your trailer or accessories lighting functions you will want the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connection item # C56403. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights.

To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop.
