Question:
Hello I bought this from you a few years ago and installed on a 2006 jeep grand Cherokee. It worked great until last year when the left turn and brake light stopped working. I have checked all the wiring and lights, they work fine and will operate when the jeep is not towed and I can plug other lights into the jeep tow connection and they work. If I have diodes bad in this control will I have to replace the entire unit? wiring front to back was time consuming Thanks

Expert Reply:
If your Hopkins trailer wiring harness part # HM56206 failed the only solution would be an all new harness as just the converter or internal parts are not available for it. The most reliable trailer wiring harness solution we offer for your 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee would be the Tekonsha kit part # 118394 and would be what I would recommend.
