Air Bag Kit Recommendation Hauling with a 2005 Ford Excursion
Published 10/21/2022 >
Question:
I'll be using my 2005 Ford Excursion like a truck to haul some heavy stuff so I'm looking for some air springs. I like how you can adjust them because the weight I haul will be different each time. Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated!

The air bag kit I recommend installing on your 2005 Ford Excursion is the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers # AL88340 which are rated to help out with up to 5,000 lbs of cargo (this won't increase your weight capacity) and feature jounce bumpers on the inside of the bags to help keep your suspension from bottoming out when you have just 5 psi in your air bags (when you aren't hauling cargo).
I also recommend picking up the Air Lift Load Controller Compressor System # AL25850 so you have the ability to monitor and adjust the psi rating in your air bags on the fly, otherwise you have to check the pressure with a tool and make sure you stop by a compressor if you need to make any adjustments.
Attached are some review videos for you to check out.
