Replacement Pins for Reese 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM Puck System

Published 10/04/2022

Question:

Thanks! But I guess I wasn't clear. I was referring to the cotter pin that holds on the jam nut and locking arms inside the tube. Such a pain to get them out! It’s the basic cotter pins he pulls out at 5:01 in your video. I love etrailer by the way. Buy from you guys whenever I can. I’ll be buying air bags for my Ram 2500 very soon. Thanks for the help.

To replace the 4 linchpins that are used to secure the Reese 5th Wheel Rail Adapter # RP30154 to the OEM puck system on your 2021 Ram 2500 you need part # LP316 which is 1-3/8" long and has a 3/16" diameter.

Thanks for the clarification! The pins used to keep the pucks anchors in place have a 3/16" diameter and measure 1-1/2" long. The closest we have to that size is part # T0815200 which has a 3/16" diameter and is 1-1/4" long so it should still suffice since there is plenty of material left over. Cotter pins are pretty easy to break and sometimes I've had to use 2 pairs of pliers to make sure I don't break them when trying to close the ends back together.
