Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Redline linchpin. This linchpin has a really simple operation. You're just going to insert this 3/16 of an inch in diameter pin through the pinhole, and then rotate the ring down to secure it in place. It's got a really good spring action to it. And let me go ahead and give you the usable length.
So what I mean by usable length, in case you don't know, is going to be the measurement of the pin inside of the circle. So let me see if I can line that up there for you so you can see. So it looks like we're sitting right at 1-3/16 inches. So again, 1-3/16 inches on that usable length. The pin portion is constructed of a low-carbon steel and the ring portion is constructed from hot drawn spring steel.

Unfortunately the pins are too thick…..Won’t fit on the bottom of my Roadmaster rock shield.
Have not had any issue with the clip. Been using it on my tow bar for flat towing the Jeep. Spring is still strong and no rust.
Perfect replacement for my Blue Ox hitch and tow guard pins (they are different sizes). I keep spares on hand because these things have a habit of getting lost. I am a repeat customer because of the excellent customer service and fast shipping.
