Recommended Replacement Bike Rack For An Older Thule DoubleTrack Bike Rack To Haul Fat Tire Bikes

Question:
Hello, I own a Thule 990XT model bike rack. I am looking for a solution to be able to use it with my fatbike. Unfortunately the wheel supports are not wide enough. Do you think the Fat Tire Adapter Kit for Swagman G10 and E-Spec Bike Racks Item # S64679 would fit. The dimension of the square bars on the Thule are 1-1/4 x 1-1/4. Regards

Thule, as well as ourselves have not tested the compatibility with the Replacement Wheel Holder for Swagman G10 and E-Spec Bike Rack # S64679 with your discontinued Thule Doubletrack 990XT, so we can't say whether or not the these items are compatible.
The best option I can recommend is to upgrade your bike rack to the newer:
-Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # TH92BJ, which will fit tires up to 5" wide.
Additionally, this bike rack will fit into a class I and class II trailer hitch, and can store up to 2 bikes weighing 35-lbs each.
