Question:

Can I use a fixed 5th wheel hitch on my 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 with a 6-3/4' bed? I have a rotating pin box on my 5th wheel and my truck has the puck system from the factory.

Yes, you can use a fixed 5th wheel hitch in a short bed truck. Since your 2023 Sierra 2500 has the factory puck system you will want to use either the 20,000 lbs B&W Companion item # BWRVK3710 or the 25,000 lbs item # BWRVK3715 depending on your trailer's weight. The factory puck system mounting method allows you to use a rotating pinbox with the Companion hitch.

The B&W Companion has a dual jaw system that provides a 360-degree jaw to kingpin connection. This not only gives you a more secure connection but it also limits the chucking and jarring.
