Question:

I have a pd9145 converter with 30 amp fuses installed original equipment. Can I replace my stock 45 amp converter with this pd9130 30 amp converter? If so, what would be the consequences in function and powering my camper, charging the battery? I have a lance camper.

Yes, you can use the Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Battery Charger # PD9130 to replace your current PD9145. This converter/battery charger has less amps. The draw back to that would be that you have less power going to the batteries which will slow the charge process. Depending on the size of your battery bank, this may not impact you too much.

We would recommend replacing your current PD9145 with a similar rated system like the Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series RV Converter Charger - 12V - 45A # PD69RR, since your camper is already prepped for 45 amps.
