Can Demco Spare Tire Carrier Bolts for Holding Spare Tire be Swapped Out

Question:

Thinking of using my own provided lug bolts to replacement the products fine-thread lug bolts. Is there any reason I could not do that if I want to ?

If you wanted to swap out the bolts from the Demco Spare Tire Carrier for Bolt-On Swivel Jack # DM15853-52 that hold the tire for something you already have I see no issues with doing this as long as you know the bolts are a strong enough material to hold the spare tire safely while you're on the road.

You may consider adding a lock like the Spare Tire Lock # FSTL0603 to discourage tampering with the spare tire. This lock fits 9/16" wheel studs so you'll need to verify that on your end.
