Can the extender be used for motorcycle rack if the hitch has the capacity for the additional weight?

When using a hitch extender like the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544 there's two things you need to keep in mind. One is that they cut the capacity of the hitch they are used in by 50 percent and also this has it's own 400 lb capacity. So you would need to make sure that your motorcycle and carrier weighs less than 400 lbs and also that your hitch has at least twice the capacity needed for the weight of your motorcycle and carrier.
