Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For Carrying 2" Bike Rack With a 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
I am buying a new 2022 Camry hybrid. I know a 2inch receptacle hitch is not available. I have a bike rack which requires the 2inch receptacle . Do you recommend using a 1 1/4inch to 2inch adapter? And how would that impact the younger weight variable? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
I recommend using the Hitch Adapter # HT5R with the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36643 on your 2022 Toyota Camry. This adapter has a 5" rise that will help you gain additional ground clearance for your bike rack to clear driveways and curbs. The adapter will reduce the weight rating by 50% lowering the receiver tongue weight from 350lbs to 175lbs.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118763 will give you a 4-way connector. This can be used with small trailers you may tow and also for Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if your bikes impair the view of your tail lights.
