Question:
on your stacked plate transmission coolers, if its installed in front of the radiator will the fan pull enough air for the cooler to work properly? i have a 79 ford bronco that is stock.

The best location to install a transmission cooler is between the radiator and grille as this will allow the cooler to receive the most air flow. That said, you can still install the cooler between the radiator and engine and it will still work just fine but it won't be as efficient as when mounted in the other location as it will not receive as much airflow. The same holds true whether you are using a stacked or plate and fin style cooler although the stacked are more efficient by themselves. For a stacked, the Derale 19-Row Stacked-Plate Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13403 is what I recommend. This is a complete kit that comes with everything you need to install.
