Troubleshooting A Flashing Green Light On A MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe
Updated 06/28/2022 | Published 06/26/2022 >
Question:
I have a Maxxfan deluxe 7500, I read about the voltage spike issues so I installed a voltage regulator with the fan. I now have the issue with the fan shutting down beeping and flashing the green light. The voltage regulator is putting out 12.5 V under all conditions with the engine running or not. What else can cause this? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent part # MA00-07500K has a self-resetting fuse on the circuit board which protects the unit for power spikes so there is no need for any additional circuit protection such as a voltage regulator. This means that you will need to remove the voltage regulator and have the wires directly connected with nothing impeding them.
