If your iRV6500 RV stereo has stopped working then the I recommend removing it from the wall and checking the fuse on the back of the unit to see if it's blown. You'll also want to check the wiring for any damage or loose connections.

If the fuse is good and there's no visible damage to the wires then the next step would be to check the power wire with a digital multimeter # PT89ZR to confirm if the unit is receiving a full 12 volts. If not, then we know the issue is your power source. If it is, then we know the issue is with the stereo itself and will need to be replaced.

You can replace your iRV6500 with the iRV RV Stereo # IRV64FR, but you will need to make some modifications as this newer version is just a bit smaller. Typically we just get a nice piece of wood to cover the existing hole and paint or stain it to match the aesthetics around it and cut out the correct sized hole for the new stereo to mount into it.
