Can Trailer Tires Safely be Rotated to Prolong Life

Question:

Can you rotate these tires running in different directions than what they started with new without damage to tire? I am hoping to prolong tire life on a single axle trailer by using the spare in rotation yearly. Your thoughts.

Rotating in your spare tire so that your tires take turns running in different directions shouldn't cause any damage as trailer tires should be wearing evenly across the treads as long as the trailer is loaded properly and everything is on the up and up with the suspension. If your Westlake ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Silver Mod Wheel - 6 on 5-1/2 - Load Range E # LHAW124 starts wearing unevenly then something is going on that needs to be checked out.
