This wheel brings together durability and design in one clean package. The Aluminum Margay wheel is made from lightweight, rustproof aluminum with a gunmetal gray, 5-spoke face. It’s finished with an automotive-grade clear coat that protects the surface from scuffs and scratches while giving it a sleek look. The result is a wheel that holds up to the elements and keeps its shine season after season.
When you’re towing heavy cargo or heading out for a long haul, capacity matters. This 15" x 6" rim is rated for 2,830 lbs and uses a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern with 1/2"-20 wheel bolts and a 4.25" pilot diameter. The 0 offset helps maintain proper spacing and balance across the axle, giving a stable platform for steady performance mile after mile.
You get confidence built in. This wheel meets Department of Transportation specifications and SAE J1204 standards, so you know it’s been tested for real-world use. It also includes steel inserts in the lug-nut wells to help retain torque and prevent wheel-offs—a small detail that makes a big difference for safety over time.
The Margay’s gunmetal gray finish gives trailers a sharp, modern look that stands out without being flashy. The automotive-grade clear coat shields the surface from chips and grime, helping it stay cleaner longer. Whether you’re refreshing an older trailer or upgrading for a new project, this wheel adds a polished finish that lasts.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Lionshead 15 inch by 6 inch Margay gunmetal gray aluminum trailer wheel with the six on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this is an aluminum wheel. It's durable, lightweight, and rust-proof. And we mentioned it's the Margay series, which you can see is a six bolt design and a gunmetal grade finish. And it has a machine finish on the edge of the spokes and even on the lip.
They do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front of the wheel to help protect from scuffs and scratches. A few dimensions on this wheel we're gonna measure is gonna be the diameter and the width. Now the diameter is always measured inside to inside on a wheel. So if we take our tape measure, and if we go inside to inside, you'll be able to see there's your 15 inch diameter. The width on the wheel, which is the same way, it'll be measured inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat, six inches on the width.
Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is a six on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure a bolt pattern on a wheel that has an even number of lugs, like this one is six. It's pretty simple because if you notice the lug holes are directly across from each other. So all you have to do is pick any of the holes, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this wheel, it'll measure 5-1/2 inches.
So that means this is a six lug, 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. This will use a wheel lug size of a 1/2 inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,830 pounds. Now if you notice down here, the valve stem is included, it's pre-installed. Now the center cap is not included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separate on a website.
You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole because when you install your center cap, it'll go through this hole. Diameter on this pilot hole is 4.25 inches. And this wheel does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications and the SAE J1204 standards. But that should do it for a look at the Lionshead 15 inch by 6 inch Margay gunmetal gray aluminum trailer wheel with a six on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern.

Correct part and fast delivery.
Wheel arrived quickly and was undamaged. Great packaging job! Exact match to the existing wheels, no oddball wheel on our rv anymore.
Great wheel , missing a star as 3 wheels arrived with minor blemishes and we agreed on an adjustment. Otherwise I would definitely recommend the wheels, Etrailer just needs to do a better job at packing. Watch staples in bottom of box.
Very fast response to my order very fast shipment
Great service and fast shipping!!! Awes ome!
Fast delivery and a great value. Shipping included in the price so there were no surprises on additional fees. I am very pleased with the entire experience.
Nice wheel but I ordered the black not the gun metal gray so I had to send it back! Easy as 1,2,3 customer service was easy to deal with and was a pleasure talking to!
We bought a new travel trailer and discovered that the spare was just a plain black rim and the two wheels on the ground were nice mags. We like to rotate the tires including the spare so we called etrailer and even though the one they had did not match the two on the ground it was close. It's a single axle so it would not matter.
Great price on an aluminum wheel I plan to use as a spare. Not an exact match to my current Legend wheels but close enough, especially for a spare wheel and looks great.
NICE RIM
Excellent service, wheel showed up very quickly!
very nice units delivered in a timely manner. website easy to move through and find what your searching for.
Excellent and fast service! Beautiful wheel! Matches the wheels on my 5th wheel. Responsive check ins from the dealer…VERY satisfied
Shipping was quick and easy. The wheel was packaged really well.
For anyone looking for a replacement for the discontinued Lionshead Leopard the Margay is the closest you will find. Style and color are great, with just the cross pieces coming to a point instead of being parallel. This aluminum wheel is super light compared to any steel wheel.
A Big point to remember is to consider exactly what valve stem you're running , and replace any new wheel with one appropriate to the tire you plan to run.
Wheels look great on my Airstream camper
My only complaint is that they didn’t come with valve stem caps
I would like to thank etrailer for there great service In shiping my wheels. These are to go on my camper I have. I had a tire blow out on me and damaged one of my wheels and could not get the place where I bought it to get me a replacement that matched, so I came to trailer and bought 4 new ones that matched.
Look good and just what I needed
My wheels look great. They change the whole look of my camper
It is a 2016 but most people think it is much newer. Thank you.

Glad you like it, Jeff! Sorry we didn't have the Leopard for you though. Lionshead is pretty notorious for discontinuing wheels people like for whatever reason. Good call with with the valve stem as well. What kind of tire are you running?
