Question:

We have a 2019 GMC Sierra truck that has never been able to run our Furrion back- up camera. I have learned that an adapter is needed. Is there one model only? I read that there was an updated model in 2021 and I don’t want to wast the money if it won’t work verifying that Furrion adapter F2BC004XXBK will work for the power situation that we have

We have a couple of options for adapters that will allow your 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 to power your Furrion Back Up Camera item # FOS43TASF. The first is the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter w/ Power Switch for Furrion RV Observation Camera item # FR87PR. This plugs into your Sierra's 7-way. A less bulky option that doesn't extend the length of your 7-way cord is the 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems - Hardwire item # VGR64VR. This is a permanent solution that you would hardwire in. I have linked review videos of both options below so you can check out the features and see which application will be best for you.

I recommend the hardwired solution because it is a one time fix that does not involve the constant use of a 7-way adapter that can be lost or stolen.
