Replacement 10-36 Grease Seal for a Curt 7k Axle

Updated 02/11/2026 | Published 02/01/2026

Question:

I have a Brinkley Z2680 with a 7K axle. I just had DeeMaxx disc brakes installed last week and wanted to carry a new set of bearing and seals with us on the road. My installer recommended that I get this kit. Dexter Bearing Kit for 7.2K - 8K Axles - Inner and Outer Bearings 02475/25580 Part Number: DX38ER I also wanted to get a spare set of seals so that I can do a repacking on the road as required. Can you point me to the right part number for JUST the seals? Thanks...Michel

I sure can Michael, and welcome back! Your Curt axle uses a 2.25" inner diameter 10-36 grease seals. To carry around a set of spares you'll want the Grease Seals 10-36 (pair) item # RG06-070.

The Dexter Bearing Kit for 7.2K - 8K Axles - Inner and Outer Bearings 02475/25580 item # DX38ER includes a single 10-36 grease seal.

How are you liking the new disc brakes?

Jerred – thank you very much for the confirmation of the part number. I will be buying both the kit and the extra seals when I get closer to my home base. Much appreciated. Michel
