Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Dometic standard height round part-timer RV toilet. Now if you're looking for an RV toilet that feels a little bit more like the one that you have at home, this is gonna be a really solid option for you to consider, especially for part-time RV living or for longer camping trips. One of the biggest advantages is the height, and this really does meet the standard household height, so it's gonna be much more comfortable than the shorter, more compact RV toilets. That's gonna make a noticeable difference, especially if you're using your RV for extended stays.
So speaking of heights and measurements, let me go ahead and give you some before we press on here. So with the seat and the lid closed, the overall height, we're at the tallest point, we're pretty close to 19 and a half inches. Now let me go ahead and just lift the lid up. Looking at the seat, we are a little over 18 inches, measuring from the floor to the top of the seat. And then looking at what I'm gonna call the depth here, that might be kind of tricky to show you, but I'm gonna say we're sitting right at about 17 and five eights inches deep.
And then the width, trying to get this here at the widest point, about 15 inches wide. Hopefully you can see that. It's kind of hard to show you it accurately with the angle of the camera, where it's sitting at. But again, I just kind of wanted to give you a good idea of the size. Overall, this weighs about 27 pounds.
This comes in tan. Officially, Dometic calls this color bone. So this is going to work well with most of your RV bathroom interiors. And going back out to my wide view here real quick, I just wanted to show you that this does have the slow closed lid. So bringing the seat and the lid down at the same time, you're not gonna have to worry about the seat and the lid, slamming shut when you're closing this.
You're not gonna have to worry about maybe kids getting up, using this in the middle of the night, slamming the seat and the lid shut, and potentially waking up everybody there or getting their fingers slam shut in it. So that's a nice feature that's included here. The bowl itself is ceramic and that's gonna be great because it's gonna be durable, it's gonna be long lasting, and it's gonna be much easier to clean compared to plastic bowls. The seat, the lid, and the base are polypropylene. So it's gonna be tough, but overall it's going to be reasonable with the weight. Now, lemme give you an overhead view here. Just going to give you a view of the inside. When it comes to flushing, it's going to be simple and effective. This does use the foot pedal system. So you press the pedal halfway, and that's gonna add water to the bowl before you use it. Press it down all the way for about one to two seconds to flush everything away. You can see the valve there at the bottom opening. The rinse system sends pressurized water around the entire bowl. So it does a thorough job of cleaning with each flush. And I think you can see those jets there along the inside perimeter of the bowl. Giving you another closeup view here to show you the pedal operation, which I'm sure you're very familiar with. This does include hardware and the caps here to get this mounted into place. It's a gravity flush design, so it's gonna install directly above your Blackwater tank. And it uses the standard two bolt floor mount. So it's gonna fit most existing RV floor flanges without needing complicated modifications. But overall, this is gonna be a great upgrade if you want something comfortable, durable, and easy to use, basically a more residential feel while you're out on the road. Now, if you decide that you don't necessarily want to do the installation, we do, on our product page, on this product page, we do have a link underneath the photo section that is our installer locator tool.
