Trouble Re-Installing the Center Hitch Cover with the Curt Hitch # CU29FR on a 2021 Buick Enclave

Question:

I just had a hitch installed on my 2021 Buick enclave and now the bumper cover over the hitch area will not fit. What should I do to correct this? This was installed by a certified Curt dealer.

Sorry to hear about this! I am guessing you are referring to the Curt Hitch - 2" # CU29FR. If this is the hitch you have installed, the most common issue with not being able to install the center hitch cover over the hitch results from not lining up the rest of the bumper correctly. Any little variation with how the bumper is attached to the rear of your vehicle can affect the fitment of that center piece.

The best route is to remove and re-install the bumper to ensure fitment. I went ahead and attached a video that shows this process. Also, at the very end of the video at timestamp 15:36, it shows the process of putting the bumper back on and installing the center cover. Even though this is conducted on a 2018 Buick Enclave, the process on your 2021 model is extremely similar.
