It says that the RotoFlex is not compatible with Curt Q series hitches -I have Curt 16 hitch and was wondering why it would not work with the Rotoflex

I went ahead and reached out to my tech at Lippert (who designed the Rota-Flex # LC176440 for Curt), and they confirmed that the reason why Curt E series and Curt Q series hitches like the Curt Q16 is not compatible with the Rota-Flex is because the articulating movement of the hitch interferes with the pivoting movement of the pin box. These two mechanisms work against each other.

With that being said, if you have the Lippert 1116 pinbox, a great alternative that does not have a pivoting mechanism is the MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box for 18K to 19K Trailers w/ Lippert 1116 # MR27VR. The MORryde model has the same 19k maximum weight capacity as the Rota-Flex and includes a rubber shear spring that absorbs road shock and vibration.

In order to make sure you have the Lippert 1116 pinbox, I recommend measuring your current pinbox and comparing it with the attached diagram. The Lippert 1116 specs are listed here for your convenience.
