2022 Subaru Outback Wagon Draw-Tite Receiver Depth

Question:
For 2022 Subaru Outback Can you provide the following specs for the above hitch? 1. Length from pin hole to front of receiver pin hole depth 2. Length from pin hole to the rear of the receiver receiver depth Also, I plan to have the hitch installed by an expert. I have concerns with having any competent automotive garage doing the installation due to the extensive amount of body parts removed and reassembled in order to install this hitch. Many of the shops that your website recommends in my area appear to be fine for bolting and welding, but what about extensive body panel removal! Wouldnt a body shop be a better option? Pros, cons? Id appreciate any thoughts. Thanks

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the front of the receiver on the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT94YR measures 2-1/2" while that same measurement to the back of the receiver measures 3-5/8". Keep in mind the back of the receiver is open so if you have something with a really long shank you aren't limited by the back of the receiver. Attached is a photo of these dimensions for you to check out.
As far as your hesitation about a shop doing the installation goes I completely understand where you're coming from. With that being said, the shops on our dealer locator have said they are comfortable with hitch installs and pulling the fascia off a vehicle for the hitch install isn't uncommon like it used to be a few years ago. It feels intimidating but really anybody can do it as long as you're careful. If you check out the linked install video you'll see the steps needed to remove the fascia. You can also take a video of the back of your vehicle prior to taking it in for the work so if anything looks weird when they are done you're able to show it to the shop.
