Can you describe or define usable length? Is it from the bend to the tip?

I went out to the warehouse and pulled a set of the Hidden Hitch fifth wheel replacement pins # 6014 that you referenced and the measurement from the inner edge of the clip grove to the bend in the pin is 3-1/4 inches. This measurement is what is considered the useable length, where as the length from the outer edge of the clip to the bend is 3-3/4 inches.
This looks like it would most likely fall in between the two pins that you show in your picture. I have included photo showing several dimensions of this product that might be helpful for you.
