How Does the Removable Mounting Plate for MORryde StepAbove RV Steps 26" to 28" Wide Doorway Install

Question:
Looking at my existing steps, the current hinge is welded to the steps. How do I remove the existing hinge and how does this new removable hinge plate attach to the existing steps? Does it use pop-rivets or bolts? I know how it will attach to the trailer once installed so thats not what Im asking.

The Removable Mounting Plate for MORryde StepAbove RV Steps part # MR32AR is designed for the first generation MORryde StepAbove steps. The flat plate gets drilled into the floor and then the corner brackets bolt to the steps with the included hardware.
I am not sure of the welded hinge you're referring to but if you can send me some photos I'd be happy to take a look.
