Compatibility Of Dexter 6,000LB Hub And Drum Assemblies On etrailer AxleTek 7,000LB Axles

Question:

Will a the dexter hub and drum assembly fit on an axle tek axle? I want to replace my tandem 6k dexter axles with 2-7k axle tek axles. Will I be able to reuse my existing bearings and hubs?

To verify if your hubs on your 6,000lb Dexter axles are going to fit the etrailer AxleTek 7,000LB Axle # e35GR you will need to verify what bearings and grease seals are used on your hubs. The new axles will use a #42 Spindle # TRU57FR, and this is the most common spindle used on the Dexter 6,000lb axles. The etrailer AxleTek uses Inner Bearing # 25580(ID 1.750"), Outer Bearing # 14125A(ID 1.250") and Grease Seal # GS-2250DL(ID 2.250", OD 3.376").

The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 42866UC3-EZ and Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-464-465 can be used if your current hubs and brakes are worn.
