Question:
hey i was wondering if it is possible to change the brake assemblies on my 2010 springdale travel trailer from 10 x 1 1/2 to 10 x 2 1/4 assemblies. The outer bearing from the original drum and hub is a L44649 and the inner bearing is a LM67048. I need to know is there is a drum hub assembly that will fit.

As long as your spindles are 4.75 inches from seal to threading like # TRU24FR or # TRU57FR they are compatible. I've attached a photo to assist. You will be able to use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs # AKEBRK-35-SA. We do not carry a hub that will fit the bearings you referenced.
My recommendation is to change your axle or at least your spindle to allow you to use standard hubs like # AKHD-545-35-K. This will require taking your axle to a professional welder who has a jig.

I got ahead of myself last fall and ordered a 4 set of 10” x 2 1/4” self adjusting electric trailer brake assemblies.even if they fit my spindles I’d still have to buy the drums for them. Found out I have 10” x 1 1/2” brakes on this 1989 18’ Lynx Prowler fifth camper. I am having problems finding a 4 set of these size brakes? To use with the existing drums which are in pretty good shape. Any suggestions? 2 1/4” are available all day long….
