Question:

I have a similar set up as one shown above where the following was recommended: For your horse trailer with Dexter Torflex 3500 lb axles, you will need the Torflex Lift Kit - Tandem Axle - 2-5/8inch Lift # K71-707-02 along with two sets of the Dexter Axle Torflex #10 Axle Side-Mount Frame Installation Hardware Kit # DX54FR which will be welded to your trailer frame. My situation is slightly different it is on a Legend 17’ cargo trailer which has an aluminum frame. Is there another solution the would replace DX54FR that wouldn’t require welding dissimilar materials together?

If you trailer already has Dexter 3,500 lb torsion axles installed already there would be no need for additional brackets like the part # DX54FR to install the lift kit part # K71-707-02. That bracket kit is for installing the axles but your trailer would already have them.
