Question:

I have a 2001 Ford F-250 with a shortbed and gooseneck ball installed. Will this hitch adapter work as it only says for flatbeds. Do you have a different model for my specific application?

There is indeed a different model for your standard truck bed, as the Demco Recon for Recessed Ball # DM8550046 is for recessed gooseneck hitch balls, which are generally on flat beds. So instead, what you will need is the following:

- Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045

This will attach directly to the gooseneck ball on your F-250 and give you the ability to tow a 5th wheel trailer.
