Recommended Trailer Valet for 5,000 Pound Trailer on Sloped Driveway
Updated 03/01/2022 | Published 02/27/2022 >
Question:
I have a trailer that weighs less than 5,000lbs and I have a driveway that lowers around 5-7 degrees into my backyard where I store it. Is there a trailer valet that works for me, so I can take it down my driveway safely. Thank you for the help.

In order to take your trailer down your driveway I recommend the Trailer Valet RVR5 Remote-Controlled Trailer Dolly - Wireless Remote - 5,500 lbs # TVRVR5. However, you will need to find out the actual slope in order to verify if this will work for you.
The instructions state " DO NOT use the RVR on slopes and inclines exceeding a strict maximum of 5 degrees on a paved/concrete surface." If it is 5 degrees or less you will be able to use this without any issues. If it exceeds 5 degrees then you will not be able to use the RVR for your trailer.
In terms of capacity this will not have a problem handling your trailer. The RVR has a tongue weight capacity of 550 lbs and weight capacity of 5,500 lbs. This also requires a minimum tongue weight of 165 lbs.
I have attached a review video for your reference.
