Looking for a recommendation for a Maxxair fan. Long life, efficiency and high air movement are key factors. Also would like to have one compatible with a pin in place rain cover. Can you please advise

The pin in place rain cover you are referring to is the MaxxAir FanMate, and that cover is compatible with MaxxFan Plus fans. So what I recommend for a compatible fan with the best air movement is a 10-speed fan:

The MaxxFan Plus # MA00-04500K is 10 speeds like I mentioned so you can choose the power of the air movement, and importantly, it is also reversible which means you can not only bring air in, but also move stale air out. Its powered lift makes it simple to use, as does its remote control so you don't have to reach up to activate it all the time. It is compatible with the MaxxAir FanMate as well, and you can choose from the following colors:
