Question:
I have a stehl tow dolly that uses ez lube hubs with metal caps to grease. The cap has a small hole about 3/4 inch for the rubber dust cover. I havent been able to buy the small rubber dust covers. I found larger ones. Can you help me

Expert Reply:
The only rubber dust covers we offer for EZ Lube grease caps are # RG04-010, which are designed to fit a 1.18 inch diameter hole in the grease cap to allow access to the grease zerk without removing the cap. Your best bet would be to simply replace your existing grease caps.
If the outer bearing is # L44643 or # L44649, use the # RG04-040 grease cap with removable plug. This is compatible with most 2000-3500 lb capacity hubs which is typical of what's found on most tow dollies.
To be sure this is the correct cap for you, just measure the inside diameter of the hub bore where the cap installs. If it's 1.98 inches, the # RG04-040 would be the correct replacement grease cap.
If you get a different measurement, let me know and I'll look for a suitable replacement.
