Question:

Hi Iam currently using the BlueOX BXW1000 on my current travel trailer. I will be buying a Grand Design Imagine 2970rl in the next couple of weeks. The hitch weight on the new trailer will be 751 lbs. and the GVWR will be 8995 lbs. My question is will still be able to use the same BlueOX or will I need to upgrade it. I pull the trailer with a 2021 Dodge Ram 2500 and have to use a reducer. Does BlueOX make a 2 1/2 inch receiver shank? Thanks for your time.

Since you already have the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control item # BXW1000 I would not recommend buying a new one to go with your Grand Design Imagine 2970rl. The tongue weight range on that Blue Ox is 750-1,000 lbs so you're still within the range. If it turns out to be too stiff for your liking then email me and I will gladly find you a replacement.

Yes, Blue Ox does make a 2-1/2" receiver shank. It is the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Shank for 2-1/2" Hitch - 9" Long - 9 Hole Adjustment item # BXW4028. This will work great with your Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control item # BXW1000 and you won't have to mess with a reducer anymore.
