How to Carry an e-Bike and a Recumbent Trike with a 2014 Ford F-150
Updated 02/08/2022 | Published 02/07/2022 >
Question:
Im looking for a bike rack to install on my Ford F150 side rails. I have a Peragon tonneau cover so the rack needs to install to the square pocket holes. The bikes that I need to haul is 1 upright ebike and 1 recumbent tadpole trike. Looking for help on the solution that would work the best

I have a solution for you to transport your bikes with your 2014 Ford F-150 but we will have to get creative as the only solution that would be close is something like the Saris Traps Fork-Block 3 Bike Rack # SATRK34-BLK3, but I'm pretty confident the braking systems on your bikes aren't compatible with a fork mounted rack like this.
I recommend using a hitch mounted bike rack for your e-Bike like that Saris Freedom # SA4412B which is compatible with 60 lb bikes that have a max wheelbase of 48" and a max tire width of 2.25". Then for your trike you can either find a way to secure it to the bed of your F-150 or you can use the SeaSucker Trike Rack # 298-BD1005 which mounts to the roof of your truck but gives you the 3 wheel holders you need for this application.
We have some other hitch mounted e-Bike racks if you're interested, but when it comes to the trike we only have that SeaSucker rack.
