What is Lowest Height Setting of Ultimate Trailer Jack 322-RDJ-2K

Question:
Hello, I need a question answered about your ultimate trailer jack 322_RDJ-2K. I need to know the what the height of the top tube is when the jack is dropped to its lowest point. Can the top tube be lowered beyond the first hole on the tube, meaning, no hole is used. I dont want to crank in this position, I just need a very short top tube and handle, as my tailgate hits the unit I have on now....so when I have to lower my tail gate with my trailer on, I need it low enough that my tailgate does not hit the crank. Remember, I dont want to crank with the pin in no hole, just it down while the trailer is still attatched to the truck so I can open my tailgate. I need to know the total lowest height from the mounting flange to the top of the crank. What I have on now is 12 1/2 Anything less that 8 will allow my tailgate to lower fully. Thanks

When the Ultimate Jack part # 322-RDJ-2K is in it's lowest position it would be 7-1/4 inches tall above the trailer frame. So since you need 8 inches or less for your tailgate to open this would work great with plenty of clearance.
