Question:
Hi. I’m trying to find a trailer jack that will have enough clearance to put tailgate of truck down with trailer attached. The ultimate jack looks like a great option bu not sure I have enough clearance behind for the pin. Can you advise if this would work on my trailer or it there are other options. Trailer is a 2007 fleetwood e2. Thanks. Current jack is 2000 lbs, a frame bolt mount, lift 14”, retracted, 8”, extended 23”, clearance 15”

One of the easiest way to gain clearance to allow for a tailgate to fold down without hitting the trailer jack is to go with a longer ball mount as that adds distance between the rear of the truck and where the jack will be.
For example, the Ball Mount part # EA40 has a distance of 14-5/8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the ball hole.
Otherwise, when the Ultimate jack part # 322-RDJ-2K is in the lowest position it only sits 1-3/4 inches above the mounting bracket.
