Easy Opening and Closing
This Specialty Series tool box is designed with a single gas shock and a locking paddle handle with a guide plate. The guide plate accompanying the paddle handle and the gas shock allow you to access the contents of your tool box with minimum effort. Simply release the handle and the gas shock automatically opens the lid, so you can get into the tool box with just one hand free. The lock deters theft of your belongings and is operated with the provided keys. To close the tool box, simply push down on the lid.

Boxes arrived in 3-4 days. I got used ones and was very happy I didn’t pay the full price. They work fine just a few dinges. I painted the inside white to see tools easier. The boxes are aluminum, seems very light duty. I wouldn’t step on top of it. When you close the top, the sides flex when pressure is put on the latch. I would have preferred a heavy steel, but needed a small box for the location and this was the only one I could find. For an ATV it might work ok. Overall pretty happy- I just installed so we’ll see how they hold up over time. Next time I would look for a heavy steel one. I paid for 2 used ones the price of one new... to me a new one would not be worth the price they are asking... just too light duty.
great tool box. I actually had put in speakers. And mounted it to the rear end of my atv I will submit photos as well.
The box was received undamaged in good condition. I am attempting to use the box for my batteries (Currently, two large grp. 34 deep cycle) and it turned out to be a bit larger than the location on my trailer tongue; I am moving the Propane bottles as much as I can to see if it will work. If I have to, I will modify the box to allow the batteries to slide out one end. I would have liked to find a box already available that way, but couldn't.
But, back to the review, the box was what I ordered, unfortunately the location of use was not what or where the box was designed.
I will follow-up with pics when the final installation is complete.
This type and size of toolbox is permanently attached to the top of a rear bumper on a holiday trailer and works perfect for storing tools etc that you would need while travelling. I even decorated around it with checker plate and it looks great.

One year later the boxes are still holding up great. I’m happy with them.
