Question:
Just trying to find the weight that the hitch and sway control adds to the tongue weight. Given the importance of all the things that factor into the tongue weight, I would think that this would be a glaringly obvious spec printed in several places or even as part of the answer to someone’s question but I can’t find this anywhere in the product description, or in other answered questions. So how much does it add to the hitch weight? Thanks

Minus the shipping packaging, the Blue Ox # BXW0756 SwayPro weight distribution system weighs right at 85 lbs.
When you're determining which weight distribution kit would be correct for your needs, two specific weights need to be taken into account. The tongue weight of the fully loaded and ready to tow trailer, and the weight of any cargo carried behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. That combined figure is sometimes referred to as the Total Tongue Weight. In this scenario, the actual weight of the weight distribution/sway control system is irrelevant and isn't taken into account.
The SwayPro system you'd looked at is rated for total tongue weights between 550-750 lbs. We will typically recommend folks choose a system that puts their total tongue weight as close as possible to the center of the system's effective range. This builds in a cushion for the weight of the system if it's heavier than usual and ensures the system will be effective if the trailer tongue weight is heavier than you thought. Also, the systems have been engineered to have a built-in fudge factor that can compensate for a hundred or so extra pounds of tongue weight.
So long story short, as long as the total tongue weight of your trailer is between 550-750 lbs, the # BXW0756 system would work well for you. If the total tongue weight is below 550 lbs, use # BXW0550 and if it's greater than 750 lbs, use # BLU66FR.
