Question:
I currently have the Dexter 042-023-00 3k axel springs on our trailer. I am looking to upgrade to the 042-072-00 1,750# springs. The chart I have from Dexter says. 25 1/4 - 26 length. Will these springs work for me? Or do you have a better option. Thank you

From looking at the specifications for the Dexter 072-042-00 (you had the numbers flipped a little), the Universal Group 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # SP-212275 will be a nearly identical alternate. Like the Dexter, this is rated up to 1,750 pounds (3,500 pound axle), includes nylon bushings to negate too much friction, will measure 1-3/4" thick (as all double eye springs of this size/capacity will), and includes 4 leaves.
The main difference between this and the Dexter spring is the size. The Dexter measures 25-1/4" from eye to eye and the Universal Group spring measures 25-1/8" from eye to eye. With that being said, as this is only 1/8" of a difference, it will have little to no effect on the performance or stance of your 2019 Grand Design Imagine XLS travel trailer.
