From what I could find on the Dexter 072-042-00 leaf spring, it appears to be the standard 1-3/4 inch wide double eye spring which is 25-1/4 inches long and rated up to 1,750 pounds (per spring). With that said, the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8 inch Long # e68SR will definitely work as a replacement for you. The slightly, and I emphasize slightly, smaller size will not have any affect on your trailer's suspension. With this spring also having a Dacromet coating, it will be more resistant to corrosion than standard painted options, which is an added bonus.
