Question:

I have ordered the 8 pack 450800 - but is it possible to order another 6 or 8 pack with the same keys? I have the thule rack, cargo box and am purchasing a second set of bars for my other car. With only 8 cores, I would have to have multiple keys as each rack takes 4 lock cores and motion cargo box takes 2. On the Thule site you can order 1 key/cylinder combo for $30 each. Seems an expensive option when the 8 pack is significantly less.

I would be happy to help you find a set of keyed alike lock cores for your Thule rack and cargo box and clear up any confusion you may have with the multiple options for replacement and extra keys. If you would like to buy specific numbered cores to match the ones you currently have you will need to purchase them each individually. For example the Replacement Lock Cylinder and Premium Key for Thule One-Key Systems item # 1500004217 is key N217. There are multiple numbers but in order to purchase 6-8 N217 keys and N217 lock cores you must purchase them individually.

The Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders - Qty 8 item # TH450800 you ordered comes with eight keyed alike lock cores and two keys that match that set of lock cores. You do not get to pick which number key and lock cores you receive when you purchase the 8 pack.

We also offer a 6-pack it is the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders - Qty 6 item # TH450600. This pack works the same as the 8-pack the keys and cores will all match but you will have to purchase extra cores individually.
