Question:

I need to change out a WF8735 power center as I’m adding lithium ion batteries as I can afford them. I still want to be able to switch back to my flooded batteries for additional capacity until completely changed to LI. I also want a faster charging capacity. Would this power center be your suggestion: Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger - 45 Amp Item # PD4045KA

Yes, you'd be able to swap out your WF 8735 power center with the Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger # PD4045KA. This model is 45 amps versus your 35 amp WF 8735 power center and features a Charge Wizard that monitors lead acid batteries and automatically begins charging when needed with multistage charging profiles that help extend battery life. The lithium switch inside of the unit will allow you to switch back and forth from your lead acid and lithium batteries. This unit is 10-3/4" long x 7-1/4" tall so you may need to make alterations to the cutout hole to get it to properly fit without any gaps.
